Complete an online comprehensive clinical interview with a psychological professional, to help you gain clarity about your mental health, and a potential mental health diagnosis. This process typically involves a 1 to 2 hour video-call meeting, where you will complete a semi structured clinical interview. Depending on your needs, more time may be required to complete the assessment, and your therapist may ask you to complete additional assessment measures. Once completed, your therapist may provide you and/or your family doctor with the results regarding a potential mental health diagnosis.

What's involved

We meet together by video-call and complete a specialized clinical interview to help get a solid understanding of your mental health concerns in the context of your life's journey, informing a potential diagnosis. Depending on your assessment needs, you may be asked to complete additional online assessment measures. If appropriate, we may facilitate a consultation with your family physician or psychiatrist who can help confirm a potential diagnosis and assist in providing recommendations for next steps in your journey toward your wellness goals.

What happens next

Once your assessment is completed, you may begin counselling with a Deep Sea Psychology therapist, or you may be referred to a different therapist who can best support you in working toward your mental health goals right away. If you find that you're not quite ready to get started on treatment once your assessment is complete, that's okay too!
