Struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, or ADHD can feel overwhelming, especially when it seems like no one truly understands what you're going through.
My core therapeutic approach is person-centered therapy which puts the client-therapist relationship at the forefront of therapy. I aim to build a strong therapeutic relationship with you built on safety, trust, empathy and culturally-informed practices. When our wounds come from relationships, our deepest healing happens in relationships. |
"We think we listen, but very rarely do we listen with real understanding, true empathy. Yet listening, of this very special kind, is one of the most potent forces for change that I know"
- Carl Rogers

"Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are"
- Brené Brown
In my spare time I enjoy reading, creative writing, spending time in nature, and with my cats and senior horse. My love for nature and animals can be traced back to growing up in rural northern Alberta. When I started my psychology journey, I knew I eventually wanted to incorporate nature and animal-assisted therapy into my practice, especially when working with Indigenous people.
At times, with my mixed heritage of Tsattine (Beaver Dene) and Irish I have felt both belonging and disconnection of both worlds, which has led me to understand the unique challenges of biracial identity. |
