Welcome!
I am Jean Chen, a Registered Social Worker. I have over 20 years clinical experience in working with adults, children and youth. I am passionate about working with individuals and families to find hope and meaning in telling your authentic story, finding meaning in your experiences and strengthening your sense of self through a compassionate and supportive lens. I am deeply rooted in an evidence based research and systems model practice. My practice includes a blended model of therapeutic modalities to best meet your needs, focusing on a trauma-informed systems approach as well as Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour therapy (DBT). |
"What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create."
- Buddha
"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you"
- Maya Angelou
My family is from India, and I am Chinese descent. My personal hobbies and interests include travel, health, and fitness, and I am passionate about food and cooking! I have been in clinical practice since 2005, and the therapeutic approaches that most inform my practice are DBT, narrative therapy, and systems theory. |
